Title - the most important element of the page
The most important element of page like in a book is the title.
The title is like a door that leads to the inside content of the page, but many people will actually over look this, you can tell by the many websites that have the same title in all the pages, what they do is put the site title on every page. Don’t do this!
The title should give the reader an idea of what’s inside the article or page and it’s very important not just for the readers but also for the search engines, the title is actually the most important part of a page, more important than the description, keywords and content, (notice the sequence, I put them in order of importance).
The search engines use the title tag to rank pages, when you do a search what you see on the results is the title tag. I would put the main keywords on the title, the one that you want to be listed for not several words but just one key word or key phrase.
And then build from there, the description, keywords if you want to which are not very important any more but if used properly can still be taken into consideration by the search engines, and build the content related to the title of course, again this sounds very simple, but so many of us make simple and silly mistakes.
