Content Related Rss Feeds Plugin for Wordpress

Content Related Rss Feeds does exactly what the title says, displays content related rss feeds. Takes the most relevant keywords from the post content and goes and finds feeds containing those keywords, and does that automatically, without the need of manually searching for appropriate feeds, all you got to do is install this Wordpress plugin and put a small line of code where you want the feeds to be displayed. This is very good for Search Engine Optimization as well, your feeds will be related to the content of the post or page, and will update all the time, or anytime there is new news.

If you want to display rss feeds on your site now you can do it in a smart way. Gone are the days of searching the internet for rss feeds, copying and pasting the url in a file in your server and setting up a cron job, and after all that work, every page in your website would show about the same feeds, unless you had a different feed for everypage, and most of the time the content of your post had nothing to do with the content of your feed.

This new version 1.2 removes the trail in the URL. The link will show and go strait to the source, search engines won’t know that you are using them to collect the news, it will look as if it has been added by hand, and everything looks much better, I cleaned all the ugly things that use to come up before.

Tried and tested with yahoo and google news feeds, should work with any rss feed as long as is big enough to supply content for your site.

Installation is very easy.

this is the function:

display,displaydescription,truncatetitle,desc_lenth,’feed’)

display: This is the number of results you want to display per keyword, the plugin extracts up to five keywords from the page, if you put one five results will be displayed, if you put five you get twentyfive.

displaydescription: true or false, enter the words either true or false between the commas, like this ,true,

truncatetitle: as above true or false.

desc_lenth: The length of the description, 100 will give you a nice description 300 will give you a long description if available in the feed, of course.

feed: Here you put the feed between the single quotes (’feed’), and you got to make a little change to the feed, e.g.

this is the feed from Yahoo news for the keyword “search engine optimization”:

‘http://news.search.yahoo.com/news/rss?p=search+engine‘

You got to change “search+engine+optimization” to “word” without the quotes.
